WHERE WILL MY CAMPER BE SLEEPING?Campers are divided into either the boy's village or the girl's village. Each village consists of log cabins and a bathhouse with toilets and showers. Click to see a map of camp

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST FOR MY CHILD TO ATTEND CAMP PAXSON?It cost $350 for a week of camp. If your child is riding the bus it is an additional $50 for a round trip or for a one way trip. This can be paid at registration, by calling the Montana Conference of SDA office at, 406-587-3101, or when you arrive at camp.

WHAT IF I CAN’T PAY WHEN I REGISTER MY CHILD?Payment can be made online during registration, at camp when you drop off your child (cash or checks preferred), or by calling the Montana SDA conference office at 406-587-3101.

WHAT IF I AM BEING SPONSORED BY A CHURCH?Fill out the registration and check the box “pay offline” in the billing section. Then, have a church officer contact us and we will make the necessary arrangements.

WHAT TIME DO I MEET THE BUS AND WHERE?If your camper is taking the bus to camp, it is scheduled to leave the Mount Ellis Academy parking lot in Bozeman at 12:30 p.m. noon on Sunday, June 22. It will arrive at the Harley Davidson parking lot in Butte (Exit 228) to pick up campers between 1:30-2:00 p.m. Please have your camper at the bus 15 minutes early to ensure timely departure. The return trip leaves Camp Paxson at 9 a.m. on Sunday, June 29. It arrives at the Harley Davidson parking lot in Butte (Exit 228) at 12:30 a.m. and returns to the Mount Ellis Academy parking lot about 2:00 p.m. You will be notified via phone in case of an emergency or for any major change in the bus schedule. Bus times are flexible and can vary around 15 minutes.

WHAT TIME IS DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP TIME AT THE CAMP?Drop-off: If you are bringing your camper to Paxson, please have them there between 3:15-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 22. In order to avoid congestion and possible accidents, there will be no vehicles allowed in the camp area. All campers’ luggage may be taken to their cabin after the registration checklist is completed. Registration opens at 3:15 p.m. Pick-up: Please pick up your camper between 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, June 29. Please be prompt as it is necessary to vacate the buildings for cleaning.

CAN MY CHILD HAVE A CELL PHONE OR OTHER ELECTRONICS AT CAMP?Cell Phone & Electronics Policy Cell phone coverage is limited at camp and cell phones as well as other electronic devices are discouraged. However, if a camper must have one at camp, please note how phones and Electronics will be handled: During registration, all camper cell phones, smart watches, or other electronic devices will be held in safekeeping by our administrative staff. A specific time will be provided each day in a designated area for campers who would like to use their devices to connect with family members. Devices will be returned to the camper at check out.

HOW CAN I CONTACT MY CAMPER WHILE HE/SHE IS AT CAMP?The two best ways to communicate with your camper is through snail mail and e-mail. Snail Mail To send mail to your camper, please use the following format: CAMPER’S NAME, Camp Paxson SDA, 4200 Boyscout Rd. Seeley Lake, MT 59868. Please note: Mail not received by Saturday may not be forwarded. E-mail: To email your camper, send messages to camp@montanaconference.org. Please include your camper’s first and last name in the subject line. If you need to call your child during the week, please call 406-351-0811.

WHAT IF MY CHILD HAS SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS?All meals at Camp Paxson are vegetarian and we strive to do as much as we can to meet other special dietary needs. If your camper has specific dietary restrictions, please contact us.
