Frequently Asked Questions
It cost $350 for a week of camp.
If your child is riding the bus it is an additional $50 for a round trip or for a one way trip.
This can be paid at registration, by calling the Montana Conference of SDA office at, 406-587-3101, or when you arrive at camp.
Payment can be made online during registration, at camp when you drop off your child (cash or checks preferred), or by calling the Montana SDA conference office at 406-587-3101.
Fill out the registration and check the box “Sponsored” in the billing section. Then, have a church officer contact us and we will make the necessary arrangements.
Drop-off: If you are bringing your camper to Paxson, please have them there between 3:15-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 28. In order to avoid congestion and possible accidents, there will be no vehicles allowed in the camp area. All campers’ luggage may be taken to their cabin after the registration checklist is completed. Registration opens at 3:15 p.m.
Pick-up: Please pick up your camper between 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, July 5. Please be prompt as it is necessary to vacate the buildings for cleaning.
If your camper is taking the bus to camp, it is scheduled to leave the Mount Ellis Academy parking lot in Bozeman at 12:30 p.m. noon on Sunday, June 28. It will arrive at the Harley Davidson parking lot in Butte (Exit 228) to pick up campers between 1:30-2:00 p.m. Please have your camper at the bus 15 minutes early to ensure timely departure.
The return trip leaves Camp Paxson at 9 a.m. on Sunday, July 5. It arrives at the Harley Davidson parking lot in Butte (Exit 228) at 12:30 a.m. and returns to the Mount Ellis Academy parking lot about 2:00 p.m. You will be notified via phone in case of an emergency or for any major change in the bus schedule. Bus times are flexible and can vary around 15 minutes.

· Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, deodorant, shampoo, soap, etc.)
· Clothing (pack for warm and cool temperatures)
· Jacket or coat (for rain and cool temperatures)
· Shoes
· Pen/Pencil
· Bible
· Spending money for the camp store
· Swimsuit
· Towel (for swimming and for showering)
· Flip-flops or other water shoe
· Sunscreen
· Bug spray
· Medications, if needed (these will need to be given to the Camp Nurse upon arrival)
· Water bottle
Campers are divided into either the boy's village or the girl's village. Each village consists of log cabins and a bathhouse with toilets and showers. Click to see a map of camp
Cell Phone & Electronics Policy
Please note that our policy has changed. We have a NO phone or electronic device police for campers. At registration we will ask that the parent/guardian will take the campers phone/electronic device with them. If the camper is riding the bus this will happen when the camper checks in for their ride to camp. If your camper is found with a phone/electronic device after registration the device will be confiscated and returned at checkout. We are NOT responsible for any lost, damaged or stolen phones or electronics. If you need to contact your child at camp please call 406-351-0811.
The two best ways to communicate with your camper is through snail mail and e-mail.

All meals at Camp Paxson are vegetarian and we strive to do as much as we can to meet other special dietary needs. If your camper has specific dietary restrictions, please contact us.
